Lead QA for Mozilla.com's content/web-development testing, which included the Add-ons website redesign, Operation Firefox, Online Security, download, first run, update, and other pages.
Responsible for test coverage of Download Manager, Location Bar, and Visual Refresh components in Firefox 3. Ensured high quality with rapid turnaround for the Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0.0.x security/stability releases, including several firedrills. Sole QA engineer responsible for the successful launch of the popular Rock your Firefox Facebook web application. - |

Wrote and executed functional testcases for 8 modules, stress-tested Virtual Lock (an internal-authentication API), LDAP migration and purging scripts/binaries on Solaris. Developed and maintained testcase template for entire QA team, as well as compiled the basic functionality testcase. Helped design team standarize UI specifications. - |

Responsible for Mail client functional, performance, and footprint testing, NNTP protocol testing and bug triage. Leak work using Rational Purify and XPCOM leak logs. Filed bugs across product components. Along with another QA engineer, was responsible for testing integration of our application with Mac OS X's (then still in Alpha/Beta) Carbon library. Gave an overview to entire QA team of our bug system's integration with crash reporting, how to obtain stack traces, and how to better file and triage crashers. Was the only QA team member to compile and patch Mozilla. Informal liason between Mozilla (open-source community) and our commercial team. - |
